Meet Olie

I’m Olie, the maker behind Rae's Rags, a native Nevadan, turned Wyomingite.

Raised on a farm in Fallon, Nevada, I grew up playing in the dirt, riding horses and all sorts of other trouble with my sister. After high school I went on to rodeo at UNLV and spend 4 years in Las Vegas where I received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management.

Next came Wyoming

Next came Wyoming and working in the oilfield where I met my husband. We've been married for (looks at calendar) almost 6 years now, and have two beautiful little girls, Callahan and Madelyn. We live on the Farris family ranch in central Wyoming.

When our oldest daughter was born, I was lucky enough to be able to stay home with her. It wasn't long before I needed something extra to occupy my ginger inability to sit still. Enter Rollin Rae's, my mobile food trailer. Each Wednesday, my little gals and I take it to the oilfield and feed everyone lunch.  After adding our youngest, winters have become especially long here in Wyoming, and we can’t always get out to cater lunch.

Along came Rae's Rags.

I started making wildrags, getting my family to try them out and it all just kept growing. I love finding material that is pretty, but functional and warm. The Nevadan in me is still quite cold in wind blistering Wyoming...

My goal is to produce items that you want to wear every day and will equally hold up in quality. I enjoy hearing how you love new rags, or how they have the perfect outfit to go with one I've just made. I have gotten to meet so many great people while sewing. I hope to continue to make things you love and just have to have!
